lyrics
Where do I fit in, in this cosmic grave?
Is anything real? Are we just a dream?
Unfathomable fiction? Unwanted, Unseen.
What is our purpose? Why are we here?
Was it all for nothing? Is the end near?
The blindest god
In the darkest depths
Could not fathom such missteps
A blink and you'll miss it
Wiped out of existence
Awaken to a hellish abyss
We peer past the veil
To see if we were born to fail
Such a maddening sight
As we gaze beyond the light
Will the answer let us grow
Or is it more than we could ever know
Face to face with my own existence
The life I know fades in to the distance
As we dive in to entropy
We fall further from reality.
I stare in to the void, and all that I see,
Is endless eyes staring back at me.
Is This all that could ever be?
A reoccurring dream for eternity.
The blind god wept from infinite eyes
His bastard children who'm he despise
He lights the fire beneath their feet
This all ends, the final deceit.
Madness bleeds in to the mind
Set ablaze through all of mankind
We peer past the veil
To see if we were born to fail
Such a maddening sight
As we gaze beyond the light
Will the answer let us grow
Or is it more than we could ever know
Further and further into the unknown
Are we born with purpose? Are we alone?
